LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
HELLO EVERYONE! LIVE FROM PARTY LIKE IT'S 1997 IS...ALEXANDRE ALEESA ADRIEN- - - - - - - - -
WELCOME TO THE SHOW. FIRST LET US GET THINGS STARTED OVER HERE. MIND IF YOU TELL ME YOUR NAME, ITS MEANING, HOUSE OR FORMER HOUSE, AGE AND WHATNOT?
"If you insist. I am French, born in Annecy, though how I came to Hogwarts will be explained at a later time. I am a Gryffindor, aged seventeen, a sixth year, and my name is Alexandre (All-ex-on-druh) Adrien. As you can tell, my family is rather fond of the letter A."
WHAT'S YOUR BLOOD STATUS? AND WHAT'S YOUR STANCE ON THE ISSUE OF ITS IMPORTANCE?
"I am considered a half-blood, though only because my father is a quarter Muggle. My mother is a pureblood, and I am mostly of magical blood. I often feel cocky about my status, but it is important to remind myself that the blood purity doesn't make the wizard."
OH, I SEE. COULD YOU MIND TELLING ME WHAT YOUR WAND IS? WHAT ITS MADE OF, THE CORE, ITS STRENGTHS, ET CETERA ET CETERA...
"My wand is ten inches long, with a core of hippogriff and phoenix feather, which makes for a decently powerful, though unpredictable and moody wand. The wood is rosewood, which is supposed to make the wand and its motions more graceful. It allows me to be decent in all areas of magic, though I'm best at DADA."
INTERESTING, INTERESTING... SINCE THAT PART'S DONE, HOW ABOUT TELLING ME YOUR PATRONUS? YOU KNOW, THAT SILVER THING THAT YOU MAKE WHEN THERE'S A DEMENTOR... FOLLOWING ME?
"For some reason... My patronus is an angelfish, much like this one, though it is of course a patronus and therefore glows and such. It's quite small, really, maybe six inches long if even... But it's very graceful as it swims through the air."
I HEARD YOU LOOK LIKE JAYY VON MONROE. WHAT DO YOU THINK? PRETEND I'M BLIND. TELL ME THE SPECIFICS, LIKE HEIGHT, BODY TYPE, ANY COOL SCARS? AND HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR APPEARANCE?
"Well, being a metamorphagus, I can look however I please, and change whenever I want. But I usually stick to the same body. Black hair... A little on the pale side... About six feet tall. I guess I'm in sorta good shape - I'm never gonna be ripped, so I'm on the slender side. The good thing about being me? You can eat all you want and never gain a pound! So when I need to feel good about myself, or look good, well, I just make it happen. My eyes used to generally be brown or grey, but now they're pretty much any color ever, even especially bright ones. I like to match my clothes too, so I change my eyes and hair accordingly. My hair's usually sorta long, but not too awfully long. One side might be really short, or it might all be the same length... Whatever, you know? Speaking of clothes, I tend to wear whatever. Pretty much every style."
NOW ON TO THE FUN PART! TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF, YOUR LIKES, DISLIKES, WEAKNESSES, STRENGTHS, WHATEVER.
"Well... I am a quiet sort of guy, at least until I come across a good conversation. I'm not one to ramble - but I have been known to. When I do, it means I trust you and I'm happy. I'm not a depressed person, nor am I unreasonably happy. I guess I'm just a normal guy, personality-wise. When I am feeling something, I tend to express it clearly. A smile, a frown, a laugh. I'm not nearly as interesting as I look, or at least, I think so. I cannot stress that enough. I'm average. Not particularly smart, not particularly talented. As least, not magically talented. I'm a spectactular pianist and singer, and I'm a good friend to have. A good listener. I like to listen, and I'm always touched when somebody shares a secret with me. I understand how hard it is to keep one around here. I guess I could be called brave, too. I'm a little prone to jumping into things without thinking. Is that bravery? Or is bravery doing something you don't want to do, because it would make people happier? Is it plunging into a decision with only faith and trust as guides? Well, if any of those things is bravery in your book, then I am brave. I guess I'm a little too trusting sometimes, will I ever learn? On that note, I am a bit of a romantic, in that thoughtful, poetic, oh-my-god-this-is-it way. How easily I'm hurt depends on who you are and what happened... When it comes to people I'm close to, I'm vulnerable. When strangers judge me, I'm only a little disheartened."
"So, to recap... I like romantic, thoughtful things. I'm easily swayed and not very level-headed, but I seem calm on the outside at all times. I may laugh here and there, but you will never see me rolling in the floor, writhing in laughter. I may cry now and again, I'm not ashamed of it, but I don't sob helplessly. If you want to know how I really feel, just ask me. I'll be honest and tell you. I'm very open with my friends. I'm also really loyal to them, but I don't go out of my way to make friends with everybody. Sure, I'll go over and talk to the poor girl everybody bullies. I don't like seeing people sad, because I tend to feel like the people I'm around. I can't be apathetic, I simply cannot. So yes, I suppose I am friendly in that way. I can stand being alone, but I do get lonely sometimes. I'm not a strong person, but I'm not really weak. Like I said... Average. Utterly and completely average. And... Though I sorta seem like a square... I really like to party. I can't wait to graduate!"
WHAT ABOUT YOUR FAMILY? ANY SIBLINGS? ANYONE CLOSE TO YOU?
"I have five older siblings, all girls. It's very, very annoying. Alexandria is my twin sister - not identical... Or at least we aren't that way today. Alexis is the oldest of the Adrien children, at 25 years of age. She attended the French school, along with Adela, whom is 21; and Alice, aged 19. This is where the sixteen year old Alexes come in, AKA my sister and I. Then there's Aubrey, aged 13. My parents are Ariel and and Armand Adrien. My father is a magizoologist - that is, he studies magical creatures. My mother is a columnist. I love my family dearly and I know they have my back. I have a few friends, too."
GOOD VERSUS EVIL. WHICH DO YOU CHOOSE? IS IT FINE IF I ASK IF THERES SOME SORT OF TRAGIC BACK-STORY AS TO WHICH SIDE YOU CHOSE?
"I like to think I'm neutral, but I'm not. I could never intentionally be evil, I'm too thoughtful and empathetic."
LETS GET PERSONAL. ARE YOU STRAIGHT, BI, GAY, WHATEVER? OH, AND WHAT'S GOING ON INSIDE YOUR LOVE LIFE? WHAT ABOUT THE PAST? ARE YOU A VIRGIN?
"What a strange question. I'm openly, evenly bisexual. I've had a few romances - for a guy like me, that isn't really surprising - but I've only felt that earth shattering passion once. Next time I find it... Because life is too short to live most of it loveless and regretting... I won't let go of it. I'm technically not a virgin, though I've never made love to a girl."
I KNOW I SOUND LIKE A STALKER BY NOW, BUT TELL ME THE REST OF YOUR HISTORY. COME ON, I DONT BITE.
"My family had lived a very long time in France prior to my birth. Our entire family tree, in fact, is rooted there, from Paris to Annecy, the town where I eventually came to be born in, as were all of my sisters, and my mother before us. This is a family story we all know by heart. My father had been attacked by a creature he was studying, and soon found. He woke up in the house of kind strangers... This being my mother Ariel, her parents, and her sister. My mother nursed my father back to health, and the two fell in love, and... Well, here we are, twenty-seven years later, with six children. And only one boy. In case you haven't been paying attention, I am that only boy. I was also born with a sister, Alexandria. From what I know, the whole family doted lovingly on the two of us. We're a very strong, loving family, you see. Perhaps one day I'll have a family of my own..."
"But I digress. As a child, I was nothing remarkable, except for the rare ability is being able to change my appearance. My sister had the same, though mine began showing... Pretty much as soon as I was born. Simple things, really. Like how I turned myself green. My sister's metamorphagus blood began showing later, with her eyes and hair. Throughout my younger years, my appearance was wild and changed often, even my facial features to an extent. Some point in time, my father's job caused the family to move to England - which is why I attend Hogwarts, and always have. As I grew older, and the obviously impending school letter time came, I wanted to settle on an appearance. I could have been anything... But I chose black hair and brown eyes, practically unheard of in my family. My sister settled with blonde hair and blue eyes - one giant, cheery ressesive gene. I began school normally, though I did notice my hair and eyes changing color with my mood. My friends worked out what usually meant what... Grey or brown meant I was okay, and they knew I was pretty calm. When the colors were different, something was up. I tried to stay normal, I really did.
Until I hit teenage years, when I grew my hair out a little and got some piercings. I decided to metamorph up some tattoos and stop being so tame with my eye colors. Which got me noticed by a Hufflepuff boy, a year ahead of me. His name was Oliver, and right away I knew I liked him. As a friend, of course. I didn't know him well enough for anything else. I'd had brief, casual relationships before, but they all seemed to be missing something I craved. Oliver soon became a part of my regular friends, 'one of the guys' as it were, and he was accepted into our little group happily. He was friendly and cheery, what wasn't to like about him?
Well, he did begin adventuring with just me, exploring the grounds with me, once even getting into trouble with me (it involved some poor Ravenclaw girl's toad and I apologized for weeks - the toad made it out alive thankfully). I asked my other friends, but Oliver hadn't been spending any one-on-one time with them. I was puzzled, but I was sure he liked me. I was sure of it. And I made up my mind that next time we were alone together, I would kiss him. The same day I decided that, he asked me in the hall to come study outside with him. I grabbed my books and went with him, heart hammering in my chest, and I tried to keep my colors under control. I didn't think he noticed a thing. I was so nervous - What if he didn't actually like me? What if I was wrong? What if...?
So I admit, I didn't kiss him right away. Okay, it was almost too late. We were done studying... And he got up to leave... I told him to wait. I got up. And I kissed him.... And he kissed me back. And it was awesome. That night, I'd flopped into bed with a smile on my face and my colors were just going crazy, and I told my friends what happened. They were a little surprised, but they seemed to know something I didn't. Turns out they knew he liked me all along. Huh. Oliver and I hung out together pretty much always after that, be it with our friends or just the two of us. We were officially together, like together. But... As I said before, he was a year ahead of me. Which means that after his fifth year, he could go.
My fifth year came, after a break with one mysterious farewell from Oliver.
He did not come.
He hasn't sent a letter, or asked about me, or anything. And I don't know why. All I know is that, as people are bound to do, I recovered. And now here I am."
